Rolf Gordon Smith
Photographer with an eye for the human and the unexpected
My passion for photography took off in the late 1970s with a Canon A1 that accompanied me through everyday life and mountain expeditions—until a cracked thermos of rosehip soup brought its journey to an end. Yet the drive to capture moments lived on.
With a background in the Armed Forces, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph in environments where daily life is anything but ordinary. Through my images, I aim to reveal what often remains unseen—human resilience, dignity, and presence in the world’s shadow zones.
Since 2024, I’ve been retired from the Armed Forces and now fully dedicate myself to photography.
As a photographer, I work on fine art projects, documentary storytelling, and visual assignments where technique and emotion meet – always with the aim of telling stories that resonate.
In my Fine art for sale, I’ve gathered a curated selection of photographs — pieces chosen for their quiet strength, their stories, and their ability to linger in the mind.

My photographic art moves in the borderland between documentary, aesthetic, and photomontage.
I work on both personal projects and commercial assignments through my company, RGS Imagery Interaction AB.
